"Open House" is a big part of
the Malaysian culture where Malaysians
celebrate religious or cultural events together with invited
guests of different races and cultures. These events include
Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas, and of course
Eidul-Fitri. The concept of Open House captures the essence
of the Malaysian way of life - respecting and working
together in harmony in building a better nation.
This year's
Open House event is expected to draw over 3000 people
together. Through this, hopefully we will foster greater
unity and there will be more transparent communication not
only among Malaysians but also among the local Australians.
Fiesta
Malaysia 2006 promises to be a culturally rich event -
showcasing the many facets of Malaysian culture through
events such as the demonstration of ketupat-weaving,
silat shows, and teh-tarik competitions. There
will be stalls selling authentic Malaysian food
as well. This
event is open to public and everyone is welcome to attend.
So come along and enjoy a unique multicultural experience. |
